ITE have been constructing data centres for over 20 years, we have listed some of the installations carried out between 1995 and 2010.

Telecity Harbour Exchange

The Telecity data centre at Harbour Exchange, docklands London comprises of 4 x 1800 metre squared data floors divided into a number of suites each with its own power distribution unit. Emergency backup comprised of 5 x 800kVA UPS units and 2 x 2.5MVA generator sets. The site was completed in 2001.

I.X. Europe / Equinix Heathrow, Data Centre Design & Build.

The construction of the site was completed in 2000 with cooling and power upgrades in 2006, 2007. The site comprises of a 3000 square metre ground floor area divided into reception, canteen, toilet/shower, control, mains power and UPS room, with comms areas divided into client suites and co-location areas. Generator support included the installation of 1000kVA and 1500kVA generators. UPS support included 5 no. 500kVA units. A new steel framed mezzanine area was constructed to allow another 3000 square metre first floor area, used for comms and office areas. Other services included Glycol dry cooling, Hi-Fog fire suppression system, smoke sensing air aspiration, goods lift, roller shutter goods entrance door, door entry security and CCTV.

Regus Data Hall London Victoria, Design & Build

The data centre was constructed on one of the top floors of a tower block in Victoria, London. The project comprised of a 200kVA UPS, 500kVA generator located on the roof and 13 No. D.X. cooling units. The project required protracted negotiations with landlord, client and Westminster Council for road closures and equipment delivery.

Data Centre in park Royal, North London for Orange Business Services.

A 1750 square metre North London warehouse was converted into a data centre. The conversion took place over a number of phases, with phase 1 including the mains switchroom, loading bay with roller doors and scissor lift, pumps control gear and pipework for the dry coolers and air conditioning units. It included 2 no. 200kVA UPS units and an external 800kVA generator, air aspiration and Hi-Fog fire suppression. Further phases increased the size of the comms areas, including further UPS units and a new 1000kVA generator.
