Data Centre Industry Celebrates Huge Success at ExCeL London
24 May, 2016
A two day technology event at London’s ExCeL has seen record breaking numbers of delegates attend. Last month, the capital’s largest exhibition space welcomed over 12,000 attendees for four of the largest expos in the data industry – Data Centre World, Cloud Expo Europe, Smart IoT and Cloud Security Expo.
Held on 12th-13th April 2016, the two day extravaganza hosted an impressive line up of 650 world class speakers and over 500 tech brands. International delegates swarmed to ExCeL London for one of the most prolific industry gatherings in the world.
Data Centre World
Described as the largest and most influential assembly of data centre expertise on the planet, this event boasted 500 expert speakers and 500 exhibitors. The event also showcased over 200 brand new products and services for the industry to thousands of attendees.
Cloud Expo Europe
This exhibition focused solely on the cloud, and is also the world’s best-attended and most successful cloud event. With over 500 leading suppliers exhibiting, attendees enjoyed two full days of sharing knowledge and discovering new businesses.
Smart IoT London
Visitors from over 50 countries attended the largest gathering of Internet of Things expertise in the world. With a conference showcasing 160 talks and case studies, seminars and a separate exhibition from 100 leading suppliers, this event helped businesses learn all about implementing IoT strategies.
Cloud Security Expo
This is the only dedicated data security event of its kind. The Cloud Security Expo provided over 100 hours of expert seminars and presentations, from a line up of leading industry gurus. There were also 80 cloud suppliers exhibiting for visitors to talk to and find out more.
Perhaps the best thing about these tech events, which were organised by CloserStill Media, is their proximity to one another. Attendees who were attending Data Centre World are highly likely to also be interested in the cloud and cloud security, meaning they could visit more than one exhibition over the weekend.
The huge success of the 2016 event leaves high hopes for next year. Thomas Standley, Managing Director of Technology at CloserStill Media, confirmed to Data Centre News that 92% of the exhibition space has already been booked for 2017. All four events will return to ExCeL London on 15th-16th March 2017.
